As We Begin.....
When you start off on an adventure or on a trek to something better, it is always important to know where you have been, why you were there and how it benefited or affected you. As you keep your future goal, want or need in plain sight for your future, keep in mind the past. One thing that I have noticed lately is that people short change themselves on their progression. They shoot for attainable goals, which is good. However, the more lofty goals don't get attention because we are taught to take only baby steps. I agree that baby steps are important, but even of more importance is having that BIG PICTURE goal. Let's take some time to look into our past and see where we have been. Look at the ways you have suffered and the ways you have excelled. Look at what you have accomplished and what you have failed in your attempts to live a happy life. What are your big hang ups? Without blaming others, what ways have you held yourself back? Take some time to have an honest look at where you have been. After devoting a piece of time to that, it is time to get real with yourself. Most people are not completely blind to their faults. The trick is to learn to appreciate those "faults" that you think are so bad and realize that there is a desireable attribute associated with every negative attribute. It truly can become easy using your less desireable traits as your strength when you take time to identify them. Also, we need to stay focused on the fact that our consciousness about what/who we believe we are only stems from the past voices in our heads from all the input we have heard from other influences (parents, teachers, coaches, friends, family, etc) in our lives. I am constantly saying that the only way that I can truly help someone change around their health is by working from the inside out. There are internal-consciousness issues that keep us from obtaining our goals and from taking extreme care of ourselves.
Would you like to lose weight easily? Would you like to be in the best shape of your life? Would you like to defeat a disease? Would you like to have prosperity with money? Would you like to be able to actually DO what you set out to DO?
The thing that will work is changing what you believe about yourself, what you see in yourself and your world. These concepts have been around far longer than "The Secret."
Ok, would you like for me to really get to the point now? Having someone to help you stay focused and on track is helpful to any goal you are shooting for. These are some of the reasons health coaches are gaining in popularity: guidance, support and a sounding board will enable you to catch your mind from playing tricks on you when you have to consistently be held accountable by another person. No longer will you be able to justify. No longer will you be able to make excuses. If you do make excuses, you are quickly called out and then we work on the nitty gritty of WHY you are making excuses and trying to sabotage yourself. Trust me when I say, that for some people, this goes deep!
I would love to help you get the "CRUD" out of your diet, help you accomplish your fitness goals, aid you in maintaining a positive attitude, help you get excited about the creation of better relationships, enjoy the work you love or find some career that you enjoy. I would love to help you create balance and harmony in yourself. Yet, to start off on that journey....just for today....think about where you have been in the past and what kind of giant leap you want to make to create the very best version of you. :D
